Day of Fishing for Kids With Cancer

Jim Martin's Guide Service and members of the McKenzie River Guides Association donated their time and expertise to local children with cancer, as they guided free fishing trips for the kids and their families down the McKenzie River. The adventure served as a day of relaxation for both the guides and the kids and a chance for the families to leave all their daily stresses behind, even if just for a few hours.

Land a Salmon with Jim
Jim's Report

The spring Chinook Salmon and Summer Steelhead fishing on the McKenzie River and Willamette River will start to pick up as the fish come over the dam in Oregon City. There are a few steelhead reported caught on both rivers already, this should just get better and better. There should be enough spring Chinook Salmon in the rivers to justify fishing in late may. Per my normal routine I will be out early and covering a lot of water to see if there is enough fish to justify getting the booked clients out.

What my clients say
" The tools of the trade: the freshest bait and tackle are always the best available. A clean state of the art drift boat with a heater (for those chilly days) and a professional atmosphere makes the time spent on the water even that much more enjoyable each and every time. "

Jim McKay, Norwood, Pennsylvania
